Chips & salsa – basically any Mexican food.

Anything by Pitbull.

Reese Witherspoon and Blake Lively. Both women are very supportive of other women. They are successful and driven. They are always so gracious and kind to others. They’re able to accomplish everything and still have a family!

What is your ultimate goal in the fitness industry?
To be tone and in shape.

What has been the greatest challenge or obstacle you’ve overcome in your life?
Not letting my circumstances growing up shape who I am. I was a product of divorce with parents who did not get along. It wears on you.

I had an amazingly supportive father, step mom and grandparents. They are still my backbone.

Moderation. Enjoy your food but don’t lose sight of your goals.

Make an easy meal plan that you won’t get tired of and allow yourself rewards.

My dad, my step mom, my grandma and my boyfriend. They have all been my biggest supporter and cheerleader! I’m more surprised when family doesn’t support you. When they don’t see to care. That’s rough.

Getting married and raising a family.

What does the term “Transformation” mean to you as a Woman?
To make a change that is beneficial to you and others. Something that makes you better.

I would say moving to Houston started my transformation. I became more open, joined more organizations. Sought out volunteer opportunities.

For other women that struggle with self change and how to begin that transformation, what advice or encouragement would you give them?
It’s ok to be outside of your comfort zone. It means you are trying. Also, do thinks one step at a time. If you are always looking at the big picture you’ll talk yourself out of progress.

Looking back into your past do you see yourself as a before and after or an ongoing change?
Ongoing. Everyone can benefit from change.

Do you have self doubt and how do you handle those negative thoughts/feelings?
All the time. It’s what makes us human. I usually talk it out with my friends or boyfriend and that usually makes me realize I’m being silly.

If there is one thing you could tell your “pre-transformation” self what would it be?
Take it one step at a time. Don’t give up. Stop comparing yourself to others because you are good enough!

What is your next obstacle that you will overcome?
I’m currently trying to get back in to shape. It’s a tough process. I have the meal prep down, just need to form a habit on the working out side.
