What is your go to indulgent meal?
El Tiempo Chicken Fajitas….chips, salsa, and guacamole with a skinny margarita! Or Sushi! With my best girlfriends 🙂

Let You Go (Chainsmokers, 2015), Roar (Katy Perry), Look But Don’t Touch (Empire), The Fix (Nelly)

Who would you consider to be a Modern Day Cleopatra and why?
My business partner, best friend, and weightlifter, Jessie Lin. She’s this amazingly smart and confident business woman and engineer who still finds time to nurture and care for those close to her. She’s an all around beautiful person and I am extremely blessed to have her in my life.

What is your ultimate goal in the fitness industry?
I want to grow Snatch Fit into a motivating and inspiring fitness community. I want everyone to feel welcome and support each other’s goals. I then hope to franchise this dream of ours and share it with the rest of the country and even the rest of the world! Dream big then dream even bigger!

What has been the greatest challenge or obstacle you’ve overcome in your life?
Not letting my circumstances define who I am. Not letting my divorce define me, layoffs, my degree…nothing. Learning how to not let those titles and definitions define the real me….has been the greatest learning experience and the best reward.

Did you make your transformation on your own or were there people that helped and supported you along the way?
I have been blessed by the continuous support of family and friends.

What advice would you offer to other woman that are facing challenges, struggles or obstacles in the life?
Never let your circumstances define or control you. Always remember your foundation and purpose….and let that lead you.

What is one of your favorite motivational quotes?
“The worst thing I can be is the same as everybody else. I hate that.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger

Do you find it easier to workout/be active by yourself or with someone else, and why?
Both. Sometimes it is like meditation to be by yourself and get that cardio in and weight training. Other times it’s fun to have the push of another workout partner.

What kind of pointers can you give regarding your success in maintaining a healthy diet (or competition diet for those who compete)?
Make it a lifestyle. Don’t think of it as a diet; it’s training yourself to eat right. When you put premium fuel in your body, you get premium performance..

What ways have you found to make eating healthy more interesting/tolerable?
I like to see how little I can spend on meal prep for 2 people for an entire week. Then season it well and make it look pretty. When the food looks pretty and fresh, it’s always fabulous and impressive to others, which makes me feel proud that I prepared it and it is helping me build the body that I am working hard for.

Who have been your biggest life supporters? Have you been surprised by anyone that supported or didn’t support you?
My parents and my closest girlfriends. I had some past significant others that did not necessarily like how lean I would get or all the social media posts myself and my fellow competitors would make, but that’s okay. I knew to move on and that I don’t need to seek a partner that will support me; it will just come naturally.

Which traits do you admire about yourself?
I tend to say “Don’t worry about it” a lot….so I would say the fact that I truly believe God has a plan and everything happens for a reason.

What is one thing you would like to experience in life?
True love with a partner. Romantic, unselfish, trusting, and beautiful love.

What’s one thing you value the most in relationships and friendships?
Trust and time. Being faithful and spending time with each other. You can’t get back time, so the value of the time someone spends with you is always priceless.

What’s one skill or talent you would like to master?
Playing guitar. I would love to be able to play and sing anything.

How do you spend your free time?
I spend most of it working on marketing for Snatch Fit, working out, or eating out. Sometimes I get out to golf, ski, or a mini weekend beach vacation in Mexico 🙂

What is a habit you wish you could break?
Picking at my hands when I am bored or unmotivated. My hands are really rough from lifting weights and doing pullups without gloves then really dry from working in an office during the day.

What does the term “Transformation” mean to you as a Woman?
It means to grow and evolve. In everything. Spirit, Mind, body, and soul.

Was there a specific time or event that catapulted your “transformation” and why?
It was the fall of 2016 when I woke up every morning focusing on my goals and dreams. I didn’t allow myself to get distracted or stray. I then used every ounce of my positive energy to share with others and made some of my closest friends and supporters.

For other women that struggle with self change and how to begin that transformation, what advice or encouragement would you give them?
Everything you are doing is positive. Anything negative…you need to filter out. It’s not going to be easy, but it’s going to be completely worth it. You are guaranteed to meet people on your journey that will change your life for the better because you are focused on bettering yourself.

Looking back into your past do you see yourself as a before and after or an ongoing change?
Ongoing. I can always be better both mentally and physically. God created me and I am going to keep adapting and changing into a better version of myself through every experience.

Do you have self doubt and how do you handle those negative thoughts/feelings?
I do….and then I take action. As soon as I am feeling discouraged, I do something to change my situation. If I didn’t like my job, I would change it. If I wasn’t bringing in enough clients or members, I would work harder and focus on what they want. If I was feeling exhausted…I tell myself how blessed I am to be so busy and to have my life so full of amazing experiences and people.

If there is one thing you could tell your “pre-transformation” self what would it be?
When you do this, you are doing this for you. And when you are deep into it, you are going to see the truth in your friends and family. You’re going to find out what type of people they are in your life and have to make the decision of keeping them or distancing yourself. This is truly a cleansing of your life that your soul was needing.

What is your next obstacle that you will overcome?
I am ready and willing to take on anything. God can send anything my way and I know that these storms break up into sunny skies.
